Malheur River

Here is a view of the Malheur River as seen from my backyard. Yep it sure is nice to be able to walk to my fishing hole anytime I feel like it.

Rocks, Rocks and more rocks.

Rocks like these sure are a welcome sight after all the sagebrush. Of course you'll want to watch out for rattlers when you are up there.

Old House

You'll find this old house out near Mud Flats though it is exceptionally difficult to get to. You better have a 4 Wheel Drive and do try to get there after a good rain storm.

Butch Cassidy's Mailbox

Anyone looking to deliver mail to Butch Cassidy? You can find this mail box, appropriately shot full of holes out near Keeney Creek along Crowley Road.

I admit I had a great laugh when I saw it.

Little gullies and canyons like this are easy to miss when the landscape often just looks like endless sagebrush.

Rain On The Valley

I will be perfectly honest. This is one of those photos that I will only get once in my lifetime. It was taken high up near Freezout Mountain on a rainy/snowy day. You won't catch me up there all that often and much less in weather like this!

Sorry, no GPS for this one. This is a landscape shot taken high up near Freezout Mountain south of Vale, Oregon about 15 miles off of highway 20. It is a rough 4WD trip to get there but well worth it.

Old Shack Off Of Crowley Road

Here is a great shot of an old shack off of Crowley Road. Just take highway 20 south to Harper Station. Turn at the station and follow Crowley road for a few miles. You'll find it though you'll get just as much fun from the photo.

Rocks Outside of Vale Oregon

These are some fun little cliffs to visit. A lot of people like to go shooting here.
